Another rant, I’m afraid - maybe it’s the month…?
It seems with age, I’m becoming more apprehensive about the lack of caring in the world around me; Have people become increasingly selfish, more provincial in their thinking? The idea of community seems to be sinking. The twenty-twenties over time seem to have focussed On the singular me, or them, rather than the inclusive us. Lasting effects from the world pandemic linger, Causing anxiety; encouraging some to probe - believing the disinformation surfacing around the globe. Watching the nightly news, we see people starving or dying, though it’s not my fault; they’re nothing to do with me; They’re over there, not here where I am; it’s not affecting my life. Too often we hear about people reneging on their responsibility Sadly in my mind, that response adds to the worlds fragility.
